What’s the difference between workouts and training?

How many of us have attended a Time Management ‘training’ day, and how many of us can say it changed our behaviour? ….Not many, and the thought of taking another day out to discuss ‘telephone answering as a time wasting devise’ not only fills most people with dread but frankly feels unproductive! Instead, consider our 2hr Priority Management ‘workout’. We ask your managers to take up the challenge of dealing with a number of tasks that have landed heavily on their desk – a performance issue that needs addressing, a query from a team member, a report that requires attention, a host of emails and an urgent demand from a key client – the phone is ringing (it’s the boss) and time is pressing!

After an initial briefing, the manager takes up the challenge under the watchful eye of their coach. At various points the coach will stop the clock and see how the manager is fairing - we look at the decisions that they have made - what went well and what could have gone better and, most importantly, what new tools and techniques might improve that particular manager’s performance. Armed with new insight, the manager then gets the opportunity to try out what they have learned. The result is that your managers gains confidence in their abilities (old and newly found) and gain a true understanding of what they can do to achieve positive results back in the workplace. And because the learning experience is unique to each individual, everyone walks away with a tailored plan for improvement.

Cost Effective

Each management challenge is suitable for up to 12 people and lasts approximately 2 hours. We can facilitate 3 challenges per day which means that you can either challenge and invigorate up to 36 people on one topic area (our Performance Management experience is very popular in this regard). Alternatively you may wish one group of 12 managers to gain from attending a series of workouts.

Each ‘experience’ is £400. If you divide that figure by 12 to get a per person price you will see that your business can train its managers for less than £34 per person, and more importantly is giving itself the best chance of success in the process.
