Executive Coaching
The Akenham Approach
Today’s complex business world constantly throws up new challenges and equipping your key talent with the skills and personal resources they need to lead the way in a climate of change, complexity and cultural difference will provide a good return on your investment.
Effective Coaching creates the opportunity and the environment for individuals and teams to identify what they are good at and work on developing their talent and potential to deliver superior performance – in a personalised way that works for them and their business.
Akenham believes firmly in the power of building strong synergistic relationships as a foundation for effective coaching. We take an holistic approach which means that we can add value to your coaching activities throughout the business. Organisations that recognise the value of integrating coaching with the rest of their development activity across the business report great improvements to employee commitment, retention levels, succession planning and organisational creativity.
Akenham’s professionally qualified coaches have been carefully chosen for their skills and experience. Our coaches have different backgrounds and qualifications but we all share a belief in the power of building strong synergistic relationships as a foundation for effective coaching. All our coaches are governed by the Akenham Code of Conduct and operate within a framework of professional supervision to ensure that our high standards are maintained.
Executive Coaching
The demands of the leadership role involve managing considerable complexity. The Coach creates the psychological space for the executive to stand back and gain perspective on their experiences, themselves and their leadership role within the business. Taking an holistic approach to the individual and recognising that reflective learning crosses the boundaries of personal and professional life, the Coach provides a supportive yet challenging relationship and dialogue in which the executive can explore, learn and develop in a completely confidential environment.
The coaching relationship is often long term and meetings may take place at regular intervals – or on an ‘as needs basis.
Performance Coaching
Every business needs its people to perform to the best of their ability – particularly when they are under pressure. Working with a coach individuals discover ways to unlock personal potential and create opportunities for enhancing their performance, developing behaviours that bring benefits and success for themselves and their organisation.
360o Feedback and Psychometric Assessment or Performance Review are often used to identify areas for development. The coaching relationship is likely to be short terms, taking place over a period of 4 -6 months.
Just in Time Coaching
An opportunity for experienced or new Leaders to access their personal coach as and when they need to. Coachees ‘bank’ a number of hours and can call on the coach to help them work through issues and challenges as they emerge. Just in Time Coaching helps new and experienced Leaders to keep making the right moves – right from the start.
