Adrian Ward MSc
Adrian Ward is Akenham’s lead consultant specialising in the field of leadership, organisational development and performance management. Prior to consulting, Adrian was Head of Performance Management with the LloydsTSB group and as such was responsible for raising the standard of people development across a blue chip financial services company employing over 80,000 people worldwide.
As well as in depth performance management know how, Adrian has over 20 years experience in leadership, talent management and organisational development, both as a line manager and OD specialist and has facilitated a wide variety of talent/leadership interventions across both the public (MOD, NHS, local govt) and private ( Retail, Financial Services, Media,Transport, Marketing & Distribution, Civil Engineering) sector. In a coaching and mentoring capacity, Adrian is also experienced in helping managers at every level to equip themselves with the technical, managerial and political acumen necessary to succeed in complex , matrix structured organisations and is licensed in the use of diagnostic tools aimed at enhancing individual, team and organisational effectiveness.
In addition to his practical experience, Adrian is a MSc (Merit) in Organisational Behaviour, attained via Birkbeck College and is a sessional lecturer on their postgraduate Organisational Change programme. He also holds a BPS Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing ( Level A & B ). This combination of intellectual rigour, operational experience and consulting capability means that Adrian is ideally suited to partnering organisations which want, not just to initiate change, but to sustain its impact on the bottom line performance of their business.
